Berthe Morisot
One of the few female painters among the Impressionists, Berthe Morisot is having a well deserved retrospective of 150 pastels, charcoals, paintings, and watercolors from museum and private collections around the world. Berthe Morisot was married to Edouard Manet's brother Eugene.

The biggest music festival of the year happens during the solstice on June 21. Now in its 30th year, the Fete de la Musique has hundreds of venues all over the city in every arrondissement. Jazz, hip-hop, pop, classical, rock, and folk music is played in churches, parks, gardens, squares, and in the streets. All music is free of charge.
