Who needs a driver? Who needs a driver when the weather is practically paradise in Milan and the traffic is stopped up all over the city and you’ve only got 15 minutes to get from a show to a fitting to a café to meet up with your friends?
Not Viviana, who has to be one of the coolest scooteristas in Milan. Not even I come close and I never leave anywhere without my bike which you can see here in the foreground in the corner of the photo.
Yeah of course, Vivana goes a lot faster than I do. There’s a hierarchy in modes of transportation, I suppose. And yeah, of course, Scott messed up his chain earlier and got grease everywhere. And yeah, I screwed up a pair of heels on the gear shift.
But who cares? Life on two wheels is just so freeing.
On that, I’m off to the Ferragamo show, but before I leave – on my bike – take a look at Viviana’s shoes (so cool!). I think we’re seeing the birth of a new trend for next seasons. Plexiglass shoes*.
Can we talk about perspiration issues for a second? No, we’re too cool to talk about stuff like that? Okay, yeah, you’re right. Not us, nope. We never sweat in our shoes, no sir, right?

*It’s gotta be made of something much more advanced than plexiglass, but you get what I’m saying.

I really have a sweet spot for Fendi. I like the quiet luxury of each piece, the timelessness of the collections, this elegance which is one of the elements of the italian style I love the most.
Like Giovanna, Valentina, Viviana and all my italian friends you see a lot here, it’s a style that has totally understood the trends but knows to stay at the right distance (oh gosh. Never thought I would write something that nebulous in my life, but you get me… Also I just woke up)

Here are a few of my favorite looks from Gucci.
Each season, the designer Frida Giannini ends her show with a series of amazing evening dresses, one right after another. And the thing that’s really striking about these dresses is the craftmanship and the richness of the materials, shouting LUXURY!! to anybody who will listen.
And there is a whole universe of luxury that shouts.
